A difficult decision

I have always been surrounded in my life by music as my grandparents, uncles, and my father have been musicians. I played some instruments when I was a little girl but it was never really what I was passionate about like dance. When I finished high school I still didn't know what career to study. So I convinced my parents to join a dance group called Γ‘awpa Rimaykuna in the city of Cuenca. It was two years of experience and knowledge in the artistic world of dance.

After six months I entered college and got a job taking care of an old lady. In a matter of months, I started working weekends and no longer had time for dance. Although it was a difficult decision for me to leave the dance group, I did it. After a while, I tried to join the UNAE University cast. In a short time, I was a member of the dance cast and a tutor to give a dance class to the guys at the university. For me, it was one more experience in my life, but my parents wanted me to study for my professional license. So I had to quit dancing again. In the beginning, it was very difficult and I cried a lot.

Today I am calmer and very happy because in a few weeks I will graduate from the "Sindicato de Choferes Profesionales del Azuay". Now I want to focus on my career that I have begun to like very much. I thank dance that coming at a time in my life when I needed it. Dance for me was a way to show what I am capable of achieving. I don't know if I will ever dance again, but my advice is that if you are passionate about something try it. Life is very difficult as we grow up.

Here I share with you my last presentation πŸ‘€πŸ’•

  1. Hi Janet! It's good to know you a little more. It is a great pity that you cannot continue practicing something that you like to do. Something similar to your story happened to me, that's why I know how difficult it is. I hope and soon you will resume that beautiful activity which is dance. Do not give up and do not stop practicing! Dancing is your thing from what I saw in the video you do it very well! Congratulations.
